Dear Readers,

Let me introduce myself and this blog. My name is Amanda Lindberg and I am a 25-year-old writer from Sweden. My dream in life is to become a published author and to this date I have written one fantasy novel and now I am working on a dystopia. None of them are yet published.

My brain is way too productive for its own good so two days ago I came up with yet another book idea. I have been thinking for a while to publish something in blog form but I have not had an idea I think is suitable for it. However, this new one is.

I hope you wish to follow me on this journey, conducted by Lady Matilda Arkwright.

So, a bit more about myself then.

First off let me just say that I hate cameras. I hate to be photographed and when in company and the cameras come out, I avoid them as much as I can. I don’t know why really, but in any case I feel about as photogenic as an old sock. However, I have heard it’s good to show your readers who you are and thus I took a photo this morning. To let someone else take it is way too embarassing so I did it myself, which is why the quality is dubious. I also took it together with my dog Zigge (Zigvard) because then it simply felt better.

It’s funny because when I see myself in the mirror I’m like ‘Yeah not too bad, work it girl, that’s hot stuff!‘ but then when I see myself on a photo I think I look ridiculous. That’s just the way I work, I suppose. Also I think it might be partly because in my head I don’t look like that at all. In my head I am a Dark Elf! Quite a dissonance, I think.

Zigge

My dog Zigge is a cross-breed between papillon, Tibetan spaniel and chihuahua. Up until last week (writing this 10th April 2013) I had two dogs, but had to put my old one to sleep. He was a beautiful papillon and you will encounter him in the story about Lady Matilda.

Zigge is 3,5 years and believe it or not, he is one of the reasons I want to become a published author. He spends most days with my parents when I’m at work, and I want to be able to write and work from home so we can spend more time together. I also want to be able to get another dog, a puppy, so he gets a new friend. I can’t do that working full-time so… cross your fingers =)
